Checkers -Professional version 4.1

Checkers is a strategic board game played between two opponents positioned on opposite sides of the checkered board. One player controls the dark pieces while the other manages the light pieces, and players take turns making their moves. It is important to note that players are not permitted to move their opponent's pieces. Each move involves shifting a piece diagonally to an adjacent unoccupied square. If that square contains an opponent's piece and the subsequent square beyond it is vacant, the player may capture the opponent's piece by jumping over it, thereby removing it from play.

The game exclusively employs the dark squares of the checkered board, and movement is limited to diagonal steps into unoccupied squares. According to most official rule sets, capturing an opponent's piece is mandatory, although some variations of the game allow for capturing to be optional in specific scenarios. Typically, a player who runs out of pieces or cannot make a valid move due to being blocked loses the game.

The professional version of Checkers offers four gameplay modes:

• Computer plays as black.
• Computer plays as red.
• Computer versus Computer.
• Player versus Player.

Additionally, players can select from three skill levels:

• Beginner
• Intermediate
• Expert
